Cellist Ian Ginsburg and pianist Sherry Lenich will be presenting “Duo West Oktoberfest” featuring great Germanic composers, such as Bach, Beethoven, Hindemith, and Strauss (specific selections subject to change). Ian was a member of the Atlanta Chamber Players for over ten years. Sherry has been the piano accompanist for the Arizona Arts Chorale for five years. Both are powerhouse performers. Duo West is on the Artist Roster of the Arizona Commission on the Arts. Ian is the principal cellist with the Four Seasons Orchestra of Scottsdale.

Flautist Katrina King is a brilliant solo artist. She and her pianist delight audiences with beautiful music by Debussy, Bizet, Saint Saens and Andrew Lloyd Weber. This is the perfect concert to make your heart rejoice. Katrina has studied with the finest flute teachers from the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Phoenix Symphony. She is the principal flautist with the Four Seasons Orchestra of Scottsdale.

MUSIC OF THE SOUTHWEST – Featuring ARPEGGIO & FRIENDS

John Friedeman, bassoonist and Lisa Tharp flautist perform as "Arpeggio". This amazing woodwind duo performs world premieres of contemporary music by Arizona composers. The audience will be thrilled by the clever and imaginative musical play between these two performers. They have many commissioned works to their name. Arpeggio is on the Artist Roster for the Arizona Commission on the Arts. John Friedeman is the principal bassoonist and Lisa Tharp is the second flautist with the Four Seasons Orchestra of Scottsdale.

NIGHT IN VIENNA – Featuring THE FOUR SEASONS ORCHESTRA
March 29, 2009 • 3:00 p.m.
The Four Seasons String Quartet was nominated in two Grammy categories for “Best Small Ensemble” and “Best New Composition” in 2000. This dynamic group of musicians has been invited to perform at the Haydn Bicentennial Festival in Vienna, Austria June of 2009. They will be performing music by Haydn, Mozart and Strauss in a tribute to the genius of Vienna. The Four Seasons String Quartet consists of Cathy Worcester first violinist and former Concert Master of the Symphony of the West Valley, Marj Sherman second violinist who formerly trained with Mark Spitz for the Olympics, Carolyn Broe violist and conductor of the Four Seasons Orchestra, and Shawna Fletcher cellist who is head of the program for Women in Music and Engineering at ASU.
