Young Sounds is comprised of 40 students ranging in ages 14 to 19 from over twenty schools in the greater Phoenix area. Since its inception in 1971 the organization has evolved from a fine youth big band into two big bands and a jazz combo. Young Sounds of Arizona remains the first and oldest program of its kind in the Country.
